IVC MEDIA SUPPLIES AV INSTALLATION TO TRANSFORMING TATE MODERN PROJECT
IVC Media has today been contracted to design, supply, install and commission the audio visual requirement as part of the first phase of the new Transforming Tate Modern building project on London’s south bank.
Transforming Tate Modern project will see a major new extension to the south west corner of the existing Tate modern site consisting of an eleven storey irregular pyramid like shaped tower, above ground, abutting the existing building and a one storey basement level constructed within the existing oil tanks.
Phase one works include key areas on Level 1 and the refurbishment of the subterranean south oil tank area where IVC Media will be installing the AV system along with managing the installation of the performance lighting grid.
Due for completion in May 2012 the refurbishment of the oil tank areas will provide visitors with a new way to experience and explore Art and a dedicated home for the latest development in art practice, reflecting the evolving way the gallery is used by artists and the visiting public. The South Tank programme will include film, performance, sound and discussions.
