IVC Media Helps Medge Productions bring Premier League to Scandinavia
Leading systems integrator IVC Media, has today announced it has supplied and installed the technical infrastructure to allow Medge Productions to re-transmit the Premier League to Scandinavia. IVC worked with technical consultant Wave Science Technology to provide a full AV System, satellite receivers, decoders, control system and the equipment required to overlay local language audio in addition to the technical office fit-out for the brand new broadcast facility based in Paddington, London.
“We were contracted to provide a complete working system from satellite antennae through to TV display screens, telephones, and IT network, right down to the broad band router,” confirms Kevin Dold, project manager, IVC Media. “With the start of the premier league season timed for mid-August it was critical we supplied and installed the whole technical fit out within the strict timeline provided.”
Central to the new facility is two high-spec commentary sound booths where staff watch the Premier League football games and overlay appropriate audio, ready for re-transmission to Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. A dedicated equipment room houses the Crestron control system and Tandberg decoders plus the necessary hardware.
“IVC Media was responsible for the design, detailing, provision, testing and commissioning of the complete working system enabling Medge Productions to re-transmit the Premier League,” confirms Dold. “It was essential for our team to work closely with the building design team and other contractors to provide the end working system within the demanding time frame. This has been an exciting project and along with Wave Science Technology, we are pleased to have been integral to helping Medge Productions bring the Premier League to Scandinavia.”
